Over a number of days in the last few weeks volunteers Tricia, Caroline and Gethsemane Community Inc Coordinator Sr Myree have been visiting Woolies to shop for groceries to be included in the Christmas Project gift hampers going out to over 900 people living in aged care, boarding houses and group homes across NSW.
Once purchased, the groceries are brought back to Gethsemane for sorting and stacked into boxes ready for packing the hampers. Packing has been taking place on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays throughout October and November and will continue right up to Christmas.
Thank you to Tricia and Caroline for assisting Sr Myree, it is because of our volunteers’ tireless efforts that we are able to achieve such a huge community outreach program.
