Volunteer Marie bakes up a storm for the homeless

One of our dedicated volunteers Marie has spent the last few weeks busily baking away in her kitchen, with the help of some fellow volunteers, cooking up a huge amount of almond bread for the homeless.

The arduous process involves an initial bake followed by slicing and then re-baking everything again. Each collection of slices has been lovingly wrapped in cellophane gift bags, ready to be packed into some of the Christmas Project gift hampers that will be enjoyed by over 900 homeless people this year across NSW.

A huge thank you to Marie for spearheading this little bake off and to all of the other volunteers who assisted, we don’t know where we’d be without you!

If you’d like to get involved with the Christmas Project pleaseĀ contact us.
